FULL DAY TOUR
A full day lake tour allows you to enjoy all the best of lake touring--and at your pace. We start the day with a morning warm-up to acquaint you with the art of paddling a touring kayak. Instruction will include how to maneuver your kayak, paddle strokes and balance. Then enjoy one of two memorable full-day options: the Water and Woods Tour or the Calderwood Express Tour. You will return to Endless River Adventures at the end of the day satiated with the wonders western North Carolina has to offer.
The Water and Woods TourA day exploring the water trails of beautiful Santeetlah Lake with your guide. Lunch is served on shore well-positioned for eagle sightings. Before finishing out the day a visit to Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest is planned. Joyce Kilmer is one of the only virgin forests in the southeast and the East Coast's version of the Redwood Forest because of the giant tulip poplars and hemlocks. The forest is named after the poet Joyce Kilmer and his poem Trees will float through your head as you wander along the mile-long loop trail through this magical forest.
The Calderwood Express Tour
A historical journey into the past when the rail road was the main form of transportation through the Smokies. Departing Endless River Adventures with your guide, you will take one of the original turn-of-the-century routes into the Smoky Mountains originally carved out by the railroad. Your water trail follows the old railroad bed into the secluded clear waters of lake Calderwood. Visit the entrance to Slick Rock Creek and later the old rail road tunnel. At certain levels, you will paddle right through the tunnel. Lunch will be served in one of the many secluded coves and then finishing up the day with the sun to your back.

HALF DAY TOUR
When your interest extends beyond a sampling of touring, but time is limited, the half day tour is your best choice. You will start the day with a morning warm-up with your guide to get acquainted with the art of kayak touring boats. Instruction will include how to maneuver your kayak, paddle strokes and balance. Then you will embark on a water trail on Lake Fontana, surrounded by the lush Smoky Mountains.
Price for the Half Day Trip: $90/person [a two person minimum]
