NC FISHING REGULATIONS

North Carolina does require a fishing license. There are resident and non-resident options, as well as disabled vet and 65+ options. For any fisherman under 16 years old a license is not required as long as accompanied by a licensed adult.
Fishing licences may be purchased on line, or locally at Almond Boat Dock (HWY28); Mason's in Topton; or at a NC Walmart. A photo id is necessary to optain a license.

Resident Licenses
Short Term 10 Day. $5.00
Annual Trout Stamp. $10.00
Annual Fishing with Trout Stamp. $20.00
Non-Resident Licenses
10 Day. $10.00
Annual Trout Stamp. $10.00
Annual Fishing. $30.00 (Trout Stamp Extra)
Under 16 years old free with accompanied licensed adult.
Disabled Vet Life Time License. $10.00
65 or older Life Time License. $15.00
It is important when fishing in North Carolina that you check the specific regulations on specific rivers before heading out in search of moby trout. NC does regulate the waterways and specific sections of river may be held as catch-and-release only, single hook, fly only, or no-fishing depending on the time of year.
