FLY FISHING IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA

Western North Carolina boasts some of the best trout and small-mouth bass fishing in the Southeast.  We offer fly fishing instruction and professional guide service for fly fishing.  Permitted by the U.S. Forest Service for float trips on the Nantahala River.

For new anglers: Fly fishing is a sport based on technique, finesse and a sense of the ecosystem surrounding you. Time with one of our guides will help you on your way to developing proper casting techniques; learning where to catch fish, and what flies are most successful.

For experienced anglers: Our guides are part of a tight-knit community of guides that have fished the rivers of western North Carolina for 30+ years.  They are passionate about fishing and enjoy sharing some of their signature flies and favorite spots with visiting fly fishers.

Spring and Fall Delayed Harvest Season in western North Carolina.

From Oct 1 to the first Saturday in June, enjoy delayed harvest season for trout fishing on the Upper Nantahala River and Tuckasegee River. This is a great time of the year to test your skills on Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout.
