NC Kayak Lake Tours, Scenic Smokies Lake Kayaking Tours, Family outdoor fun

An incredible way to tour the mountains of North Carolina

When you want to enjoy time in the out-of-doors, but prefer to leave the adrenaline behind, lake touring is the perfect option! Lake touring is fun for all ages.

Start planning in a lake tour for your 2011 North Carolina Adventure!   Choose from Half Day or Full Day, Misty Morning or Sunset Tours.

Comfortably outfitted in Wilderness System kayaks, any and all experience levels will enjoy this trip. Both scenic and informative, this will be a highlight of your visit to western North Carolina. Our guides will lead you on water trails around the lakes and into small tributaries, along the way identifying for you the flora, fauna, geology and history of the area.

Which trip is best for you?

  • If you have limited time or are interested in an introduction to lake kayaking, our Misty Morning and Sunset Tours are your best bet.

  • For those looking to split the day between two activities, but want more of an instruction-oriented experience, the half day tour is your best option.

  • For a memorable full day activity, there is no better choice than the full day tour that combines touring, lunch and exploring places like Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest or the old rail road trails into the Smokies.

Additional points of interest included in the day's exploration may include Cheoah Dam, Fontana Dam, the old Caulderwood railroad tunnel, Slick Rock creek trail or Joyce Kilmer Forest.

Weekend Serenity Packages

In addition, join us for a two-day bed & breakfast itinerary in early summer and during the fall color season. This is the perfect way to spend the day enjoying relaxing fun on the beautiful lakes of western North Carolina and the evenings awash in a mountain sunset.
