The exception to our private instruction program is a set of workshops for the beginning paddlers and custom workshops for special groups. If you have custom group needs, contact us to arrange custom dates and itineraries/workshops that will work for you.

2010 SMALL-GROUP WORKSHOPS
Rescue Round Up for Boaters
Everything from rope throwing to snags and tags will be taught over a
two-day workshop. Following a format of simple to complex skills, the group will spend the weekend practicing the river rescue essitionals that every boater should know. Team led by recognized river rescue leader Shane Williams-- an ERA staff favorite.

1-Day Roll Workshop
Whitewater Rolling*Combat Rolling*Directional Rolling* the Finish
The day is spent specifically working on the whitewater roll. And no one teaches rolling better than we do! Regardless of the roll you do/would like to learn we will help you reinforce the fundamentals and work towards a winner roll! Requirements: Class II boating skills and a minimum of a flat water roll.

The I Ain't Skerd Workshop:
Kayaking is just plain mental for so much of the sport. And sometimes a particular river or just a rapid/move on a river can be what is making you mental!
Join us for a one-day session where we plunge right into what it is that is making you mental and see if we can cure it!
Nantahala Session: is it Patton's Run? ferrying in fast water? surfing at Surfer's Rapid? eddy catching on the way to the falls? How about running the Falls? Or playing on the wave below the Falls? Time to just do it!!
Ocoee Session: ferrying at Entrance intimidating? Catching eddies through Broken Nose enough to make you sneak? Running Double Suck? Ferrying below Double Trouble? Or...playing at Hell Hole??? Let's do it!!!
This workshop will not only help you stop mentalling out over something in particular, but will help you improve over-all river skills that will inherently make you a more confident boater.
The workshops will be run by Guest Instructor Maria Noakes and ERA's Juliet.

Just for Kids Weekend
While our one-on-one hands-on technique is a sure-fire way to bring your kids up into kayaking, we do also understand that kids just need to be kids--and hang out with others their size/age inorder to embrace kayaking as their own.
