I just want to say thank you for all the inspiration and support youoffer our young women paddlers at Sweet Briar. The students that went on the intermediate kayaking trip came back on fire! They were filled with stories of the river, of admiring you and Maria, and pride in their own accomplishments. The focus on leadership was perfect for the students as well. I heard a lot about not using the fact that they are women as any kind of excuse for extra attention on the river. I so appreciate your design of that trip. It made an immeasurable impact on the students. My only regret is that I was unable to attend.
I also want you to know that the three students that went down on their own to paddle the Natahala truly felt embraced by you and Ken. Carlie,Amanda and Sara were so excited and again inspired. Secretly,
