Sunset Touring Trips on Lake Fontana

The Cherokee call the time of sunset here in the Smokies “osda a-gali-ha u-sv-hi yi-tsa,” loosely interpreted as “the sun is shining beautiful in the evening.” Our evening lake tour on Lake Fontana is the opportunity to surround yourself in the beauty twilight brings to the mountains.

Our Sunset Tour embarks from historical 288 at Lake Fontana, just outside Bryson City.  Gliding across the watery trail, you are surrounded by the ridges of the Smoky Mountains, the play ground of bald eagles, otters and other amphibious friends.  Stopping for light refreshments mid-way through the trip allows you to refuel and soak up the scenery.  The trip ends at sunset.
