If you are interested in setting up instruction dates or joining one of our workshops, please call us at 828/488-6199 or e-mail us for availability and dates.
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION:
- 1 person: $225
- 2 people: $345
- 3 people: $395
- 4 people: $465
For those who come equipped with a kayak-ready vehicle, we are happy to extend a discount for transportation:
- 1 person: $200
- 2 people: $320
- 3 people: $375
- 4 people: $440
Prefer to meet us at a river? We are happy to do so simply by adding in the mileage fee of $25.00.
What’s Included in Private Instruction Fees:
Private instruction fees include all the necessary equipment, your personal instructor and transportation. Bring your boat or use one of ours — we use Wave Sport boats exclusively in our instruction program. Your day of instruction will be a 9-5 day, and the outline of the day will be determined by you and your goals.
WORKSHOPS:
- 1 Day $110/person
- 2 Day $330/person
- The cost of group workshops is based on a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio.
What’s Included in Workshop Fees
Group workshop fees include equipment, lunch and local transportation. Workshops do not include breakfast, dinner or accommodations. Bring your boat or use one of ours — we use Wave Sport boats exclusively in our instruction program.

If you have custom group needs, contact us to arrange custom dates and itineraries/workshops that will work for you. Custom programs are available year-round.

Payment:
In order to secure your preferred instruction date, all reservations are prepaid in full. Payment may be made by cash, check or credit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made 14 days before instruction date will be eligible for a 100% refund; 14 days or less there is no refund. We will always work to accommodate you on date changes for private instruction.
Lodging:
The Nantahala Gorge area has a myriad of accommodations and restaurants, including camping, motels, and bed & breakfast lodges. Please see our Accommodations page to choose lodging that suits your preferences.
