What inspired you to learn to kayak: Watching some boys run Gorilla on the Green River. I was amazed. I didn't know anyone could do that--but I wanted to learn!
When you are not on the river: Spending time with my son Jonah and my husband Ryan, reading, dancing, listening to bluegrass music.
Favorite person to paddle with: Ryan (my husband and ERA instructor) if I want advice or to be pushed to my limits! A good group of girls if I want to have fun.
Advice to women learning to kayak: Sometimes you have to put your emotions and nerves aside and know that you can do it! Have confidence in yourself, and don't over-analyze everything. But at the same time trust your intuition.
