A big thanks to the Clyde Erwin High School ROTC group for heading to the Nantahala Gorge today for a trash pick up and raft trip!

Driving in from Asheville, the group spent the morning scouring a 2-mile section of the road running alongside the river. Before they were through, they had 26 bags of trash—from a 2 mile stretch!!

After trash pick-up and lunch, the group took a well-earned raft trip down the river to have some fun.

Hats off to the seven-member ROTC group and their hard work today! And for bringing delicious muffins and sharing them with us!!
