Saturday’s targeted bypass flow release is 250 cfs for 3 hours from 1500 – 1800. The Nantahala generating unit is scheduled to run from 0900 – 2300. On Saturday starting around 1530, there will be combined bypass and generation flows at the put-ins of approximately 850 cfs for approximately 3 hours.
The postponed April 18 and 19, 2020 scheduled Nantahala Bypass Flow Releases have make-up dates. The first make-up date is this Saturday, August 29, 2020. The second make-up date is Saturday, September 12, 2020. These make-up release dates should align and support other whitewater boating events in the region. These two make-up releases are different in that: 1 – the flows will arrive at the confluence of White Oak and Nantahala Bypass at 1500 and 2 – the releases will last three hours not six.
